Freelancer.com Focuses On Facilitating Business Growth For SMEs
KUALA LUMPUR, March 28 (Bernama) -- Freelancer.com is looking forward to facilitate business development for small and medium enterprises (SME) and to generate more income for freelancers in Malaysia in its drive to grow its user database in the country.

Freelancer.com's Vice-President (Growth) Willix Halim said SME owners usually looked for economical ways to run their business, and via Freelancer.com, they have an efficient and cost-effective way to harness the human resource potential of Internet users.

"By using our portal, these business owners can post jobs in a secure and organised manner, and find the perfect person to execute their work projects at the most competitive rate, based on bidders' resumes and work experience," he said in a statement.

Freelancer.com is the world's largest outsourcing and crowdsourcing marketplace.

As the world's leading freelancing marketplace by traffic volume, Freelancer.com has more than seven million users from 234 countries and regions currently.

Internationally, it attracts over 4,500 new users daily, a figure which has been exponentially increasing since Freelancer.com was founded in 2009.

Halim said internationally, SMEs have been using the Internet to gain more revenue and reduce costs in terms of goods sold and lower administrative and operations costs.

He said Malaysia was one of the front-ranking developing nations where the Internet contributed to the country's gross domestic product (GDP).

Currently, Malaysia ranks 15th globally among the countries, with most Freelancer.com users, with 45,808 users, comprising 6,724 employers and 39,084 freelancers.
